A&R Factory has shared a glowing new review of Mike Moss’s latest single, This Place, describing the track as “Americana-tinged singer-songwriter rock for anyone haunted and healed by home.”

Written by Amelia Vandergast, the review draws comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Bob Dylan and soul-torn classics such as Hallelujah, highlighting the song’s emotional intensity, gospel-esque backing and transatlantic atmosphere.
The piece also reflects on Mike’s return after a period away from releasing music, calling This Place “the sound of a soul contending with emotionally heavy geography and a compass for anyone feeling lost.”
The review concludes with the generous line:
“There is no denying he belongs in the annals of great songwriters.”
This Place is the first single from Mike Moss’s forthcoming EP, Was It Love?, written in Manchester and produced by James Sinclair-Stott in Nashville.
