Beached Festival

It was a cold and wet day in Castlefield for this years Beached Festival but it didn't dampen the spirits. On the main stage - The Futureheads, Kid British, and Mike Moss.
"Welcome to Castlefield in the rain!" announced Mike Moss, as the band took to the stage late on Saturday afternoon. Luckily by the time they arrived the rain had eased slightly and the sun was gradually making an appearance amongst the somewhat leaden skies.
The band played a rapturous set and in typical Mike Moss style the frontman worked the stage for all it's worth - climbing on speaker stacks and out onto the slippery rain soaked B-Blocks at the front of the stage - the weather wasn't going to slow him down. The crowd seemed to be loving it too.
The songs from the debut album Cold World Plastic Dream were all very warmly received by an unfamiliar audience who had yet to experience the Mike Moss show in all its glory. The reworked guitar version of Be The Way proved to be hugely popular and the ever emotive Emotion Machine certainly got the crowd moving and jumping. A great day and a great experience.
Mike Moss would like to thank Mark Lippmann and Matt Boone from Scruff of the Neck for giving us this great opportunity and believing in us.
